The Gomm Family
Having never known anyone else (other than family) that had the same last name as me, I was slightly surprised when back in 2004 I received an email from a colleague at work, his name Roger GOMM.
This chance happening started me thinking into who else was around, maybe some famous historical person, perhaps a side of the family that we lost contact with other years. The possibilities were staggering.
And so began the quest to uncover my family history, and ultimately the task of recording everything I find in a way that will always be remembered. This site is the beginning of that mission and long, long project ahead. I hope its of some use or at least an enjoyable trip through our family and time.

Pondus Familae Ante Alter ?
There is no offical motto recorded for our branch of the GOMM Family. So we thought long and hard over whats the most important to us. Finally we came up with Pondus Familae Ante Alter - roughly translates as Family First / Family before all others.
